Bridget Griffen-Foley
Bridget Griffen-Foley is a professor of media at Macquarie University, Sydney, where she founded the Centre for Media History, and a fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities. Her books include The House of Packer: The Making of a Media Empire (1999), Sir Frank Packer (2000, 2013), and Changing Stations: The Story of Australian Radio (2009). She edited the fielddefining reference work A Companion to the Australian Media (2014), now available via AustLit. Bridget is writing Australian Radio Listeners and Television Viewers: Historical Perspectives (Palgrave, 2020), and collaborating on a cultural history of ABC Radio National.
