Britta Jorgensen

Britta Jorgensen is a podcast practitioner and researcher. She was recently awarded her Ph.D. from Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia. Her practice-research doctoral project analysed the contribution of independent producers in Australia to podcast journalism. She is currently a research assistant for an ARC Discovery Project on antimicrobial resistance (superbugs), producing a six-part constructive journalism podcast series. She has produced audio features for All the Best, ABC Radio National, the Digital Writers Festival, Audiocraft and the CBAA’s National Features and Documentary Series. She won a Burning Seed grant for her interactive audio installation, The Complaints Department. She has taught and mentored journalism students and emerging producers at Monash University, University of Melbourne and the CMTO. She is a supervising producer for community radio programme, All the Best. Her podcast studies research interests include practice-research methods and methods documentation, constructive journalism and narrative journalism approaches and independent production.
