Calum Waddell obtained his Ph.D. from Aberdeen University in 2014 and his published work includes The Style of Sleaze: The American Exploitation Film (Edinburgh University Press, 2018), Cannibal Holocaust (Columbia University Press, 2017) and the forthcoming Images of Apartheid: Filmmaking on the Fringe in the Old South Africa (Edinburgh University Press).
