Carlo Maria Rabai
Carlo Maria Rabai earned a master’s degree in cinema, television and multimedia production at the University of Bologna, Italy, with a dissertation titled ‘Awakening film archives: Peter Jackson’s They Shall Not Grow Old and the new trajectories of historical memory’. He earned a bachelor’s degree in the humanities at the University of Pavia, Italy, with a dissertation entitled ‘Casey Neistat, man with the movie cameras: Technologies, vision forms, fandom’. He is also co-founder and editorial director of Birdmen Magazine (https://birdmenmagazine.com/), an Italian magazine that specializes in cinema, TV series, theatre and digital media. It was founded in 2015 and functions not only as a webzine but also as a publisher of paper editions, rich in detailed studies. He has been an editorial assistant, translator and researcher for the Journal of Italian Cinema & Media Studies since 2019.
