Carmel Cedro
Dr Carmel Cedro is a cultural historian and has written on relationships between representations of femininity and baking in cookbooks; food and otherness in Victorian fiction; Gothic trends in contemporary wedding cake decoration; and traced the influence and history of the Dolly Varden cake in popular culture. Her research interests focus on twentieth- and twenty-first-century social history, food studies, gender and Gothic intersections in contemporary popular forms.
