Carol A. Mullen, Ph.D., is professor of educational leadership and policy studies at Virginia Tech, United States. A twice-awarded US Fulbright scholar, she was honoured with the 2016 Jay D. Scribner Mentoring Award from the University Council for Educational Administration. In 2021, she was the recipient of Virginia Tech’s Alumni Award for Excellence in International Research and, in 2020, the University of Toronto honoured her with the Excellence Award, an OISE Leaders & Legends Award. She is a cross-disciplinary researcher whose scholarship in educational leadership and policy studies encompasses international education. Recently, she guest-edited journal issues for Mentoring & Tutoring (2020) and the International Journal of Mentoring & Coaching in Education (2021) and served as editor of the Mentoring & Tutoring journal. She also authored Revealing Creativity (Springer, 2020) and Canadian Indigenous Literature and Art (Brill, 2020), the latter winning the 2021 Outstanding Book Award from the Society of Professors of Education, andedited the Handbook of Social Justice Interventions in Education (Springer, 2021) and Creativity under Duress in Education? (Springer, 2019).
