Caterina Cucinotta
Caterina Cucinotta holds a Ph.D. in film studies from NOVA University of Lisbon where she is a post-doctoral researcher (FCT fellowship) in the Contemporary History Institute and where she also coordinates the Culture, Identities and Power team. Her research focuses on the history of Portuguese cinema in relation with the trade of costume designers. She authored the book Trip to Cinema through Costumes (LabCom, 2018) and contributed with essays to the volumes Women in Iberian Filmic Culture (E. Cordero-Hoyo and B. Soto-Vasquez [eds]) (Intellect Books, 2020) and Italia Russia, un secolo di cinema/ Italija – Rossija: Vek kino (O. Strada and C. Oliveri [eds]) (ABCDesign and PNB, 2020). In Portugal, she also works in costume design on films and television series.
