Catherine Wynne

Dr Catherine Wynne is Reader in English (Victorian and early twentieth-century literary and visual cultures) and Associate Dean for Research and Enterprise in the Faculty of Arts, Cultures and Education at the University of Hull. She has published books on Bram Stoker, Bram Stoker Dracula and the Victorian Gothic Stage (Palgrave, 2013), Bram Stoker and the Theatre: Reviews, Reminiscences, Essays and Fiction, Volumes 1 and 2 (Pickering and Chatto, 2012), Bram Stoker and Gothic: Formations to Transformations (Palgrave, 2016) and, as Stoker and gothic expert, contributed to documentaries, internationally and nationally (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation [CBC] – Ideas with Nahlah Ayed), RTÉ (Ireland), Deutsche Welle (Germany), Channel 4 (Britain by Beach with Anita Rani), BBC 2 (Books that Made Britain) and BBC Radio 4, conference keynotes and talks (British Library). She has also published books and articles on Arthur Conan Doyle and the British war artist, Lady Butler.
