Christina Dunbar-Hester

Christina Dunbar-Hester is the author of Hacking Diversity: The Politics of Inclusion in Open Technology Cultures (Princeton University Press, 2020), Low Power to the People: Pirates, Protest and Politics in FM Radio Activism (MIT Press, 2014) and numerous other articles and chapters, both popular and scholarly. She is a faculty member in communication at the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern California, and she holds a Ph.D. in science and technology studies from Cornell University. Her research interests include the politics of technology, technical cultures, media activism and technological activism, natureculture, lively and deadly systems and also care.
