Christine Guy Schnittka
Dr Christine Schnittka is a professor of science education at Auburn University. She is currently investigating the science and engineering embedded in traditional crafts, with plans to use her findings as a basis for developing curricula for youth. She is a former mechanical engineer and a former middle school science teacher. She teaches elementary and secondary science education and researches the integration of engineering and making into science education. A creative polymath, she likes to spend her free time knitting, sewing and making pottery in her home studio.
