Clare Lesser
Clare Lesser is a performer, musicologist and composer. Her research focuses on deconstruction, indeterminate and improvised music and performance, graphic notation and sound art. Currently, she is writing a book on the intersection between deconstruction and experimental radio music by John Cage and Karlheinz Stockhausen. She is also composing soundscapes to accompany a series of short films exploring the voyages of the East India Company, and working on two new albums for Metier of chamber works by Michael Finnissy and Hans Joachim Hespos. She is the founder of the ElectroFest festival of electronic music and is a senior lecturer and programme head of music at New York University Abu Dhabi.
