Claudia Romanelli
Claudia Romanelli is an associate professor of Italian at The University of Alabama in the United States. Her research interests include Italian cinema in a transnational context, the Italian screenplay, and mixed and inter-media. She has published on Pier Paolo Pasolini, Federico Fellini, French and Italian co-productions, and contemporary Italian writer Tiziano Scarpa. Her work has appeared in the edited volumes Cinema, Language, and Pedagogy: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow (Legas, 2009) edited by F. Calabrese et al. and Contemporary European Cinema: Crisis Narratives and Narratives in Crisis (Routledge, 2018) edited by B. Kaklamanidou and A. Corbálan, as well as in academic journals such as The Italianist, Journal of Italian Cinema & Media Studies, Italian Studies, Forum Italicum, Journal of Screenwriting and Romance Notes. She is currently working on a collaborative arts research project about African American actor Dotts Johnson.
