Clothing Cultures 9.1-2 is out now!
Intellect is pleased to announce that Clothing Cultures 9.1-2 is out now!
In this double issue, we consider the relationship between the everyday and performance. We are well acquainted with the relationship between clothing and the performance of the self, but in this issue, we discover how this can cause conflict when one’s choices of clothing are limited or when the performance of self is that of an alter-ego. How can our clothes carry and communicate the burden of our histories, cultures and bodies? And how can our stories, particularly those held deep in the past, be redressed and communicated for a contemporary, global TV audience?
