Cristina Renedo-Farpón

Cristina Renedo-Farpón holds a Ph.D. in journalism (University of Valladolid, 2021) and Master in Information and Knowledge Society (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, 2014). She is currently an assistant professor at the University of Valladolid. Her main lines of research focus on digital communication, social networks, participation and social movements online, disinformation and inclusive journalism. She is currently participating in the research project ‘Disinformation flows, polarization and crisis of media intermediation (Disflows)’, with reference PID2020-113574RB-I00, funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation and the State Research Agency. Previously, she has participated in three other research projects and in a network of excellence, funded by the Spanish Government and other international organizations. In addition, she has developed a research stay at the Communication Institute of the University of Chile, funded by EURICA grants. She has also served as an evaluator in different academic journals related to the field of communication, is part of the chair of transparency at the University of Valladolid and is an evaluator at the State Research Agency of Spain.
