Cynthia Kros
Cynthia Kros is a historian and heritage specialist and has published widely in the fields of history, history education and heritage. Her publications include The Seeds of Separate Development: Origins of Bantu Education (Unisa, 2010) and two collections of which she was lead editor: Archives of Times Past: Conversations about South Africa’s Deep History (Wits University Press, 2022), which was the recipient of the 2023 award from the National Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences in the category of best edited non-fiction collection, and Reframing Africa? Reflections on Modernity and the Moving Image (African Minds and Media Studies Press, 2022) with co-editors Reece Auguiste and Pervaiz Khan.
