Daniel Barredo-Ibáñez

Daniel Barredo-Ibáñez is a senior lecturer in journalism and Public Opinion at the Universidad del Rosario (Colombia). He is currently leading the project ‘Public Sphere and Citizen Participation’, a project investigating the concept of interactivity in Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru and Spain. Daniel holds a Ph.D. in journalism, a master's degree in Communication, and a BA in broadcasting journalism and a BA in Hispanic Studies. He has taught in different universities of Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico and Spain. He has authored more than 100 scientific works about topics related to social media, political participation, organizational speech or media representations. He is currently Chair of the Working Group in Digital Media, Social Media and Processes of the Latin American Research Association in Communication.
