Daniele Serapiglia

Daniele Serapiglia is a Ramón y Cajal researcher in the Department of History, Political Theory and Geography at the Complutense University of Madrid, and an associate researcher at the Institute of Contemporary History at the New University of Lisbon. Specializing in the history of fascism and sports, he is the author of the volumes: La via portoghese al corporativismo (Carocci, 2011) and Uno sport per tutti: storia sociale della pallavolo italiana (Clueb, 2018). In 2014, he edited the volume Il fascismo portoghese (Pendragon, 2014), the Italian edition of António Ferro’s Interviews with Salazar (Penfragon, 2014), while in 2016 he edited the volume Leisure Time, Sports, and Fascism (Bradypus, 2016). He was a visiting scholar in the Department of Motricity, Human Performance and Sport Management at Eupropean University of Madrid, the International Centre for Sports History and Culture at De Montfort University, Leicester and the Remarque Institute of New York University.
