David McFarlane
David McFarlane is currently a second year Ph.D. student at Toronto Metropolitan University in the Media and Design Innovation programme. He is also a visual artist, musician and creative director in the digital design industry. David has been practising professionally as an artist for 30 years and has exhibited his work across Canada. His conceptually informed artwork takes form in sculpture, photography, video, installation and site-sensitive performance work. Most recently, he is concerned with making ecological art, rather than art about ecology. His activities as a musician include songwriting, composition for film, soundscape composition and live performance. He has been recording, engineering and producing his own music for over thirty years. More at
