David Rojinsky

David Rojinsky is a UK-based independent researcher. He holds a Ph.D. in Hispanic cultural studies from the University of Michigan, United States, and has published research on different historical periods and cultural themes in relation to both Latin America and Iberia. His most recent publications have been devoted to contemporary visual studies and include the following: the prize-winning article ‘Reconciling myth with photographic histories’, Bulletin of Spanish Visual Studies (2020), the article ‘Between carceral family album and world memory: Sousa Dias’ Luz Obscura’, Journal of Romance Studies (2023) and the monograph Viewing Photography in Post-Dictatorship Latin America: Visual Interruptions, 1997–2016 (Palgrave Macmillan, 2022).
