David Ryan

David Ryan is a visual artist, musician and writer. Exhibitions of his paintings include Crossing Abstraction at Kunstlerhaus Bethianen, Berlin (2009) and Kunsthaus and Forum Konkrete Kunst at Erfurt, Germany (2012); After Image at Emerson Gallery, Berlin (2013); At the Point of Gesture at Wimbledon Space, London (2015); June Mostra at British School at Rome, Italy (2016); Granular at Stephen Lawrence Gallery, Greenwich (2018); Phase 1–4, Painting, Drawing, Architecture at Palais des Arts, Toulouse and Galerie Hors Les Murs, Marseilles (2018–20); Variations and Echoes at Kapil Jariwala Gallery (2019) and The Undersides of Practice at APT Gallery, London (2020). Screenings of his video works have taken place at Konzerthaus, Berlin, Germany; Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatoire, Russia; Issue Project Space, New York; V22 Space, London (2012, 2016); Logos, Ghent (2013) and Qo2 in Brussels, Belgium (2013); Teatro Pollini, Padua (2014); ICA, London (2014); and Venice Biennale, Italy (2015). He is currently associate professor in fine art at Cambridge School of Art.
