David Sheffield

Dr David Sheffield is a registered health psychologist (HCPC) and a professor of psychology at University of Derby, where he is director of professional psychology programmes. He uses a range of research methodologies, such as epidemiological, experimental and psychophysiological methods as well as qualitative methods to understand the impact of stress on health, well-being and performance. David’s current research projects include nature-connectedness, compassion, music for well-being, social prescribing and pain managements.
