David Simpson
Dave Simpson is an English teacher, who worked in primary and secondary school for twenty years before he joined the University of Brighton School of Education, where he worked on initial teacher training courses and the MA programme. He has written extensively on drama in education, primarily as a result of his role as external evaluator for Drama in Learning and Creativity (D4LC) and given conference papers on the representation of the apocalypse in children’s literature. Since retiring he has published a number of poems, which explore living with cancer, several of which are short-listed in national poetry competitions.
