David Wills
David Wills is an independent researcher from the United Kingdom whose writing focuses on English-language representations of modern Greece. His Ph.D. thesis (Roehampton, 2003) was published as The Mirror of Antiquity: 20th Century British Travellers in Greece (Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2007). Recent articles have focused on Gerald Durrell’s Corfu (in Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies, 2020), Jackie Kennedy’s ‘Hellenization’ during her marriage to Aristotle Onassis (in Neograeca Bohemica, 2020) and travel writing about the refugee crises of 1922 and 2015 (in Mobilizing Narratives: Narrating Injustices of (Im)Mobility, edited by Hager Ben Driss, Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2021). Since 2012, he has been the treasurer of the Society for Modern Greek Studies.
