Davina Thackara
Davina Thackara studied history of art at Sussex University (BA) and the Courtauld Institute of Art (MA), and worked as a lecturer and research fellow at Kingston University before transferring to the publishing industry as an editor of specialist art books and magazines, and an occasional writer. In 2016 she launched The Drawing Works (thedrawingworks.com), an online gallery dedicated to promoting the work of contemporary artists whose primary practice is drawing, particularly those developing abstract, reductive and systems-based approaches. The gallery has held two exhibitions, in Camden, London in 2016, and at the Edinburgh Art Festival in August 2017.
