Delia D. Dumitrica is a Ph.D. student in Communication Studies at the University of Calgary, Canada. Her dissertation looks at nationalism in the social construction of the Internet in the spheres of policy, media and everyday life in Canada. Her research on virtual environments includes the social construction of gender, aspects of power and resistance, and the ethical dimensions of socio-technical design.
