Denİz Türker

Deniz Türker received her Ph.D. in Middle Eastern Studies and History of Art at Harvard University. Since October 2016, she has been the Fari Sayeed Fellow in Islamic art at Pembroke College, Cambridge, and an affiliated lecturer in the university’s History of Art and Middle Eastern Studies departments. She is currently completing her book manuscript on Yıldız Palace. She has recently contributed an essay on Abdüllatif Subhi Pas¸ a, a renowned numismatist, to a Brill volume on collecting in the Islamic World. She has also co-curated an ANAMED exhibition centred on a set of photographs gifted to the Prussian statesman Otto von Bismarck by the Ottoman sultan Abdülhamid II.
