Devan Hunter

Devan Hunter (she/her) is a Ph.D. candidate in Sociology at the University of Guelph. Her doctoral research broadly focuses on intergenerational encounters and interactions in everyday life with an emphasis on the exploration of embodiments of age and generation. She is interested in the sites, spaces, and everyday practices which disrupt the cultural reproduction of normative age-segregation commonly built into Western institutions. Additionally, she is a Research Assistant on the Sociable Cities Project which studies conviviality between strangers in public spaces.
