Douglas Mulliken

Douglas Mulliken is a Ph.D. candidate in Hispanic Studies at the University of Glasgow’s School of Modern Languages and Cultures, where he is the recipient of the William C. Atkinson Scholarship in Hispanic Studies. He holds two Masters degrees, in Film Studies from the University of Cape Town and in Hispanic Studies from the University of Virginia. His research interests focus on the representation of both subjective and objective violence in the cinema of the Global South, especially Latin America, the PALOP countries and South Africa.
