Edward Allen
Edward Allen is an associate professor in the Faculty of English, University of Cambridge, and a fellow of Christ’s College. He has recently overseen a project at the University of Padua, ‘Radio Waves: Network Building and the Making of Modern Europe’, and is at work on several related schemes, all of which have to do with cultures of listening. He has published widely on twentieth-century anglophone literature, including essays on BBC poetry programmes, deafness and detective fiction, and Virginia Woolf’s telephones.
