Edward Whittaker
Edward Whittaker (born, Manchester 1948) is an artist whose work in painting, photography and installation has been shown internationally. He is also a writer who has (with Alex Landrum) edited two books: From Nonsite to Celebration Park, Art and the Politics of Space (Anthony Rowe, 2008) and Painting with Architecture in Mind (Wunderkammer Press, 2012). Whittaker has contributed a number of essays, most notably ‘Photography and the subject of architecture’, in Camera Constructs, edited by Tim Wray and Andrew Higgott, Ashgate 2012 and ‘Architecural Photography and the Contingency of History’, Inter/Photo/Arch, University of Navarra, Spain 2016. Dr. Edward Whittaker teaches at the University of East London.
