Eirik Askerøi
Eirik Askerøi is associate professor in music at Inland Norway University of applied sciences, where he teaches performance, production and pedagogics as well as supervising on BA, MA and Ph.D. level. He holds a Ph.D. in popular music performance from the University of Agder (2013). He has published in international journals and anthologies and has recently co-edited the Routledge anthology Popular Musicology and Identity. His research interests include production aesthetics, popular music, cultural theory and discursive analysis. Besides his academic activities, he works as a professional musician and producer, and he has until 2016 been co-managing a recording studio (Parachute Studio) in the centre of Oslo, Norway.
