Elcin Bicer
Elcin Bicer is a psycho-oncologist and dance/movement therapy practitioner in Istanbul, Turkey. Bicer is a graduate of the Psychology Department at Bogazici University and has a MA in psychosocial oncology from Istanbul University. While working with cancer patients and their families, she became aware of the importance of embodiment and the therapeutic benefits of art. After assisting dramatherapy sessions in an oncology setting for three years and staging three theatre productions with cancer patients at Neolife Medical Center, she was trained in dance/movement therapy by Dr Marcia Leventhal and Dr Ilene Serlin. Bicer is also interested in medical conscious hypnosis.
