Elina Roinioti

Elina Roinioti is a sociologist and a game researcher. Currently she is doing her postdoctoral research at Panteion University with a scholarship from the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY). Her research interests include the study of game space and game design as a creative procedure, as well as the structural relationship between games, culture and political practices. She is co-editor of the collective volume Digital Games: Philosophical, Social and Cultural Landscapes (Oasis, 2019 – in Greek) and has worked in various game-related research and creative projects. For 2017 and 2018 she was the head of the B2B event Athens Games Festival.
