Elina Westinen
Elina Westinen is a postdoctoral researcher in the ERC project MUSICONNECT and was previously a postdoctoral researcher of the Academy of Finland (2019–22). She specializes in sociolinguistics and discourse studies, with a particular focus on race and ethnicity in Finnish hip hop culture. Her work has recently been published in the International Journal for the Sociology of Language (2022), Global Hiphopography (Palgrave Macmillan, 2023) and The Sociolinguistics of Hip-Hop as Critical Conscience (Palgrave Macmillan, 2017).
