Elisabeth Le

Elisabeth Le is professor of applied linguistics in the Department of Modern Languages and Cultural Studies at the University of Alberta (Canada). Her main foci of research and graduate teaching are media discourse, political discourse and international discourse. She has published two monographs: The Spiral of ‘Anti-Other Rhetoric’ – Discourse of Identity and the International Media Echo (2006) and Editorials and the Power of Media (2010), both with John Benjamins Publishing Company. She is now working on the identities used by foreign correspondents when debating on the news with each other.
