Elizabeth Achieng’ Andang’o
Elizabeth Achieng’ Andang’o, Ph.D., is a lecturer in music education at Kenyatta University in Nairobi, Kenya. Her research interests include early childhood music education, multicultural music education, singing and curriculum development in music education. She has published papers in Arts Education Policy Review and Early Child Development and Care and contributed chapters in various books including Volume 3 (‘Wellbeing’) of the Routledge Companion to Interdisciplinary Studies in Singing (2020), Music Education in Africa (Routledge, 2019) and Children’s Home Musical Experiences across the World (Indiana University Press, 2016). She is on the ISME Board (2018–22) and is a former commissioner (2010–16) of the Early Childhood Music Education Commission. She is an associate editor (Africa) of the International Journal of Music Education in Early Childhood.
