Elizabeth Bridges

Elizabeth Bridges serves as an associate professor in modern languages at Rhodes College (Memphis, United States), where she teaches German studies and humanities, including courses cross-listed in gender and sexuality studies. Her publications include a study of European folklore in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and an examination of the Hitler-clone theme in 1970s pop culture. The latter appeared in the book Nazisploitation! The Nazi Image in Low-Brow Cinema and Culture (2011), which she co-edited. In fandom, she is known for a series of blog posts analysing TV’s The 100 at www.uncannyvalley.us and was featured as an academic speaker at the ClexaCon convention in Las Vegas, in 2017 and 2018.
