Elizabeth F. Thompson

Elizabeth F. Thompson is professor and Farsi Chair of Islamic Peace at the American University in Washington, DC. She is author of Colonial Citizens: Republican Rights, Paternal Privilege and Gender in French Syria and Lebanon (2000) and Justice Interrupted: Struggles for Constitutional Government in the Middle East (2013). She is now writing a history of the Syrian constitutional congress of 1919–20, to be published by Grove Press in 2019.
