Elizabeth Rauh

Elizabeth Rauh is Assistant Professor of Modern Art and Visual Cultures at the American University in Cairo. Specializing in modern art history of Iran, Iraq, and Western Asia, her research explores modern artist engagements with Islamic heritage, ecological art practices in the Persian Gulf and visual cultures of Shi`i Islam and the twentieth-century ‘Shi`i Left’.
