Elizabeth Stich
Elizabeth Stich (she/her) is an assistant professor of dance at the University of Georgia (Athens, GA, United States) specializing in aerial and contemporary dance. A versatile performer, she is equally at home on the concert dance stage and in less conventional settings – soaring over water in Sea World’s Cirque de la Mer and dodging BMX riders in All Wheel Sports Extreme. Elizabeth’s choreography has been featured in numerous venues, including the Santa Barbara Floor to Air Festival, Aerial Acrobatic Arts Festival and college dance programmes across the United States. Her practice-research in aerial arts has been published in the Journal of Dance Education, Theatre, Dance, and Performance Training and Performance Research and presented at the National Dance Education Organization, Theatre and Performance Research Association and Association of Theatre in Higher Education conferences. Elizabeth holds an MFA from the University of Utah, a certificate in Laban/Bartenieff movement analysis from integrated movement studies and is a graduate of the professional training programme at New England Center for Circus Arts.
