Emilia Smolak Lozano

Emilia Smolak Lozano, Ph.D. (2017) in communication sciences, is a researcher and a professor of advertising and public relations at University of Malaga, Spain. Emilia is an expert in digital media, semantic monitoring of brands, semantic analysis in communication in social media as well as LDA and linguistic models applied to digital communication monitoring and analysis. She is a member of the editorial board of International Journal of Public Relations and ECREA. She is the author of more than seventy publications, including Scopus and JCR articles, book chapters and four books by prestigious editorials in Spain and abroad. She is also the speaker on over sixty international congresses on communication, and visiting professor and researcher at many renowned European universities. She has participated in European and national projects on mass media and educational innovation projects in podcasting. She is the coordinator of blended intensive programme on podcasting and EU and teacher in the specialist courses on podcasting for teachers and Ph.D. students, as well as transmedia storytelling at UMA Foundation.
