Emily Blosser

Emily Blosser is an instructor of sociology at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Louisiana State University and Master’s degrees in Public Affairs and Eastern European Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. Her research focuses on the examination of processes through which gender and racial inequalities are reproduced or challenged in various contexts. Specifically, she is interested in why stark gender disparities still exist in engineering, despite educational and cultural shifts that have occurred for women in US society.
