Emily Cornish
Emily Cornish is pursuing a Ph.D. in the history of art at the University of Michigan. Her dissertation is a comparative analysis of the ways chiefly women from Hawaiʻi engaged with photography during the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries and used this technology as a tool for innovative self-expression and maintaining cultural continuity in the face of settler colonialism.
