Emma Ben Ayoun
Emma Ben Ayoun is a Ph.D. candidate in Cinema and Media Studies at the University of Southern California and the current Managing Editor of Discourse: Journal for Theoretical Studies in Media and Culture. Her dissertation, entitled “Sick Cinema: Illness, Disability and the Moving Image,” makes connections across disability studies, visual studies, and film and literary theory. She has writing published or forthcoming in Camera Obscura, Visual Anthropology, The Velvet Light Trap, and the Journal of Cinema and Media Studies.
