Emma Mills
Emma Mills is Director of Student Experience, UNSW School of Art and Design. She brings 25 years industry and entrepreneurial experience to design education and is a founding member of the UNSW Wicked Collective for Climate Change and Sustainable Development, organizing the faculty-wide exhibition !Do Something (2022) and co-authoring the World Design Assembly 2023 conference paper ‘!Do Something: Provoking sustainable behaviour change through collective design initiatives’. She is currently project lead for the education focused grant titled Education for Sustainable Development (2024) and is the co-lead of the UNSW Education for Sustainable Development Community of Practice. Emma recently presented at the 2023 ISSOTL Conference in Utrecht University, Netherlands, and on ‘Circular economy in design education and research’ to the Asia Pacific Circular Economy Research Network (2023). She received a faculty Teaching Award in 2020.
