Epidemic Urbanism is now available!

The recent pandemic has emphasised the impact of epidemic illness on urban life and exposed the vulnerabilities of societies. This book explores the profound and complex ways that architecture and landscape design were impacted by historical epidemics around the world, from North America to Africa and Australia.

This volume, edited by Mohammad Gharipour and Caitlin DeClercq, features interdisciplinary case studies that explore what previous epidemics might teach us about our current world. The chapters cover case studies from all five continents and each chapter focuses on the story of a pandemic in a particular city or region.
