Eri Hirabayashi
Eri Hirabayashi earned her Ph.D. from the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, University of Limerick, Ireland, in 2010. In addition, she was the acting course director of the MA Ritual Chant and Song programme and lecturer (Ritual Studies) from 2009 to 2010 at the above university. The focus of her research is the function and impact of ritual music and music performance – particularly that of Shinto music – on group behaviour in modern Japan.
