Eric Nost

Dr Eric Nost is a professor of geography at the University of Guelph, Canada. He researches how data technologies inform environmental governance. He is interested in assessing these technologies’ promises to help solve sustainability issues related to food security, climate change adaptation and ecosystem services conservation, by understanding their human dimensions alongside governance trends such as marketization and metrification. His work contributes to the fields of political ecology, science and technology studies and digital geographies and is currently supported by several grants, including a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Insight Development Grant.
