Erin Cory

Erin Cory, Ph.D., is a senior lecturer in media and communication studies at Malmö University. An activist researcher, she focuses on the role of arts practices in building solidarity amongst and between communities, especially between autochthonous Scandinavians and people with migration experience. Her current project, ‘Performing Integration: Participatory Art and New Publics in Malmö’, is funded by Riksbankens Jubileumsfond. Before moving to Scandinavia, her research focused on public art, communal memory and activism in Beirut, where she lived during her Ph.D. fieldwork.
