Erin Goheen Glanville

Erin Goheen Glanville, Ph.D. (McMaster University) is a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) postdoctoral fellow in the School of Communication at Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, Canada. She is also a research associate at the Centre for Policy Studies on Culture and Communities. She is the co-editor of Countering Displacements: The Creativity and Resilience of Indigenous and Refugee-ed Peoples (University of Alberta Press) and has published articles and book chapters addressing cultural representations of refugees, diaspora literature, globalization and postcolonial studies. Glanville’s current SSHRC-funded project is the creation of digital stories in collaboration with a refugee claimant support organization in order to mobilize critical refugee studies research within contemporary forced migration dialogues in Canada. She also runs community workshops shaped by her doctoral research on refugee fiction as pedagogy and offers working retreats for humanitarian organizations on their practice of storytelling.
